Mission Statement:
At the Coding Academy of America, our Mission is to teach and uphold the "Gold Standard" in the areas of Medical Coding, and Medical Documentation Auditing. Our commitment is to the growth and development of our students and the healthcare clients that we serve. Based on our commitment, we believe that success through continuous hard work is the only option and we endeavor to stay with each individual until success is achieved in their certification efforts.
Who We Are:
We are a learning assistance (tutoring) service designed to effectively prepare individuals who wish to properly prepare themselves to sit for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) national certification exam offered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
For the past fifteen (15) years we have provided comprehensive and successful tutoring services to many individuals preparing for the CPC certification exam in the Tri-State (DMV) area.

How We Do It:
Over a sixteen week period (duration applies to CPC program) on Saturdays, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, we provide intense in-person (brick and motar learning environment) educational training, requiring hard work, determination and commitment. Pre-class preparation is essential to a productive learning experience and cannot be overemphasized.

Mock Exam (simulated 5 hr. & 40 min. national exam process)

Training in use of the national audit tool for use with the Government imposed “1995” and “1997” Documentation Guidelines

After the mid-term exam, more individualized tutoring (once per week during the weekday evening) is available as desired

The seat that the student occupies each Saturday is the same seat he/she sits in to take the national exam

For those that already have a certification, CEUs are available for any sessions attended for continuing education purposes
